Mains Failure Window:

Mains Restored Window:

When Mains Supply Re-stored it gives Indicator window on Computer for Mains Re-stored & Shut-Down Canceled.

Remaining Back-up Time:

        At the time of Power Failure it gives you Display for Remaining Back-up Time on Computer, so that you can save your Data of Day End or Month End etc. and Shut-Down the Computer properly.

Auto Shut-Down Facility:

        If you do not Shut-Down the Computer within your Remaining Back-up Time, it will Automatically Close your all programs and Shut-Down the System so because of proper Shut-Down, your Program & Hard Drive is Safe.

Operating System Protection

        Almost all advanced operating  systems  need  user to Shut-Down before turning off the  power, otherwise  the  system might  be  damaged and there  is  no  way  to  start  it unless you re-install the operating system. So a GIRIRAJ Intelligent UPS  Software has to  Shut-Down the system to save the operating system before the UPS runs out of battery power.

File Saving Protection:

       Before  Shutting  Down  the  operating  system, the Software tries to close all open files and save them. This advanced feature can prevent you from losing data and wasting valuable time to re-type them.

        People learn from history. A System Manager needs to receive valuable power history data  information in order to increase the reliability  of  the  power management. For this reason, the software provides  you with  power event logging to optimize management of the power. The log file tells you the time, date, day, year and the  power events viz.  power failed,  power  restored, low battery condition and system shutdown.  You  can  use  it  to  determine  your common power problems in order to plan power use in the most productive way.

How the GIRIRAJ Intelligent UPS Software Shutdown Sequence Works!!

When power fails, the following series of events occurs:

• The UPS detects a power failure and switches to Battery power.

• The UPS instructs the Software program of the power failure through the serial  cable.

• The Software logs this event in the event log file, pop up a warning message on the        screen and begins the count down process.

• When the countdown timer expires, the software starts executing the following   Shut-Down  sequence.

            a) Software informs all the active programs to save data and close Programs.

            b) Software shuts down the operating system.

            c) Software tells the UPS to switch off the battery power.

         At any time  during  the  above  process, if the UPS determines that battery power is Extremely low, it notifies the Software of such event via the serial cable. If the Software receives such a signal it immediately executes the shutdown sequence, regardless of  the status of the count down timer.
